Fundraising for Our Mission

We are always very appreciative of any help in the form of donations or other support for the CHARACTER COUNTS program. Individuals or organizations interested in contributing or managing independent fundraisers for CHARACTER COUNTS are encouraged to do so.

Vision Statement
The vision of CHARACTER COUNTS! of the Round Lake Area is a community where all individuals personally embrace the principle that character counts at all times and in all places.

Long Term Goal
In five years, CHARACTER COUNTS! has helped create positive change in the Round Lake Area as evidenced in police records, school reports, and improved community perceptions.

Why CHARACTER COUNTS!?
The School Partnership, a subcommittee of B.E.S.T., met on Nov. 16,1999 to discuss issues facing the Round Lake Area. The consensus of the group was that the Round Lake Area was a wonderful place with great people who had been faced with a multitude of negative issues, especially concerns about the school district. It was decided that we needed to focus on our positive assets – our character. After looking at many programs, the committee choose CHARACTER COUNTS!
